As we all know bad websites are lurking everywhere in the cyber world like plague. A bad website sometimes can negatively affect a child's impressionable mind and I don't think The Above and Beyond is happy to see it. Once in a while I come across a great website that I just want to yell it out loud to everybody in the world so everybody knows about that site and benefits from it. Now is my chance. Here is a list of GREAT websites that are either intellectually enlightening or providing something useful. Trust me; if they're not good, I wouldn't recommend them. This wonderful website is certainly one of the very BEST websites I have ever visited my whole life. You get to learn how things work without having to go to a library or buying a book! It's right in front of your eyes!! I learned how a fridge works, how diamond works, how human immune system works, how a toilet works, .......I mean, hey, you are getting this insanely useful information without having to pay a dime. I don't think I've ever seen a greater deal. Well, with all said I bet not many of you will become a regular of that site simply because you are too busy or not interested.
It's amazing how knowledge can change one's life, yet hardly few are willing to put forth the effort to obtain it even when it is just a few clicks away.
Hm...maybe it's human nature to be lazy, right? Speaking of human nature it is curious how people work, something this website doesn't have an article on...yet. When I don't know something, I turn to Google because "Google is your friend." Type in several key words in the search field and you will get a list of relevant sites in popularity order in a split second. Although most of the time you find answers to your questions, sometimes finding an answer can be quite a challenge. I often run into difficulty trying to find answers to less popular topics. However I believe in the near future those Google elites will make their search engine as smart as possible. In the future we will get an answer quickly to questions like "What's the distance between Oslo and Stockholm?" and "How do I make a search engine like Google?" I have 100% faith in Google because it is truly the very best. I also love the occasional Google banners (like the one you see below) they contrive to honor a holiday or a memorable day. They are just lovely.
Most of you know Ebay well because it is the most popular online marketplace. You get to buy and sell things at your convenience. And the best thing of all is that it takes only a couple of minutes to get the hang of it. Whenever I need something, I always go to Ebay to check out the price range of brand-new items and used ones. Very neat and very convenient!
Software has become an important part of our life now that computers have achieved ubiquity. Whenever I need software, I got to download because I can often get what I want there. The user rating and number of downloads are useful features for you to consider whether to download and try it or not. Most of them are at least free to try. Try some of the anti-virus programs, firewalls, file transfer programs, or whatever you need today!
A dictionary is certainly helpful when you don't know something. It could be a word or a term. For an English word, I generally go to www.dictionary.com. I am sure there are many online dictionaries out there for every language humanly known. Hey, remember: Google is your friend =)
