Since February 2015, I have been a data scientist on the Core Methods @ Core Data Science team at Facebook.

I received my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science, at University of California, Santa Barbara, under the supervision of Professor Xifeng Yan. I was also a member of the Information Network Academic Research Center. During my Ph.D. studies, my main research interest lied in data mining, with a particular focus on large-scale graph mining and analytics. I worked on various research projects on graph query answering and graph anomaly detection in large vertex-attributed graphs. I later started a new adventure in statistical modeling, machine learning, business analytics and optimization.

Before I started my Ph.D. studies at UCSB, I received my B.E. in Computer Science from Wuhan University in 2005 and my M.S. in Computer Science from Peking University in 2008. Click here to find out more about me.
